Lessons are given on a per term basis only, with 15 weeks per term and two seasonal terms offered per year. There is an Autumn Term, beginning in August or September, and a Spring Term, beginning in January. There is one lesson per week of the term, and they are given in either ½-hour or 1-hour slots. All lessons are held in the teacher’s residence.
Costs per term are listed below. Payment must be made in full at the start of each term. Prorated fees are possible when beginning lessons after the start of the term. Payments more than 2 weeks late will incur a 10% penalty fee. Payments more than 4 weeks late will incur a 20% penalty fee. Non-payment of any duration can result in cancellation of the lesson arrangement, including loss of current time slot.
Any scheduled lessons that are missed by the student for any reason will not be rescheduled, nor will their costs be refunded. Where possible and where mutually agreed arrangements are made in advance, adjustments to the lesson schedule can be made, of course. These will be discussed on a case by case basis prior to the lesson in question.
Any scheduled lessons that cannot be attended by the teacher for any reason will either be rescheduled as make-up lessons at a time that is mutually convenient, or the cost for those lessons will be refunded.
The lesson arrangement can be cancelled for any reason by either the student or the teacher at any point. In these situations, a prorated refund of the payments for the remaining lessons in the term will be made.
